Knowing God Personally (PDF)
This short booklet clearly and concisely presents the key points of the gospel and explains how to begin a personal relationship with God. It explores four ideas essential for understanding the good news of Jesus Christ: God’s love, the problem of human sin, the sufficiency of Jesus’ sacrifice, and the necessity of responding to God’s invitation. It also includes a model of a prayer you can pray to invite Jesus into your life, the assurance we have if we have made that decision, & next steps to continue growing.
Knowing God Personally is best used one-to-one or in small group settings. You can share it with someone who has been discovering Jesus for a while and has reached a point of decision, with someone curious about the message of the gospel, or even with someone who identifies as a Christian already but may not be able to articulate what that means or what they believe. This is also a great tool if you’re looking to equip others to share their faith! It is designed to be read out loud together, taking turns and pausing on the questions to discuss together. It is so important as you go through the booklet together to listen well, ask clarifying questions, give space for their questions, and most especially be attentive to the Holy Spirit and where the person is on their journey.
In addition to this PDF version, you can also find this same information translated into a variety of languages in the GodTools app. Print versions are also available for ordering here.
