Head of Communications

Agapé UK has inspired people to discover Jesus at home, at university and in the wider world for more than 50 years. We have teams working in nine locations across the UK with a focus to engage with students, families, leaders, sporting professionals, churches and in digital spaces online.

At the heart of everything we do, you’ll find people striving to communicate effectively.  That’s where you come in...

About Agapé UK

We are passionate about what we do, because we are passionate about Jesus.

We have seen how he has changed our lives, and we want others to experience the same joy! What makes Agapé UK a special place to work, where countless staff serve through many seasons of life, is that we’re family together on a mission and we have fun along the way. So, it doesn’t matter how you first came to know Jesus for yourself, we want everyone to see the vital role they have to play and to be free to bring their best contribution to the whole mission, we’d love for you to pray about joining us!

About the Role

As Head of Communications at Agapé UK, you’ll lead and oversee all internal and external communications across the organisation. Based at our Birmingham headquarters, you’ll be part of the Central Services team and report to the Central Services Director.

You will collaborate regularly with Heads of Ministries, communications colleagues, external contributors, and contractors. A key priority will be building a strong communications team to support our mission.

You will work to align messaging across our ministries, strengthening our brand identity and establishing a clear, authoritative voice. You’ll also drive improvements in both the quality and efficiency of our communications products and processes.

About You

You’re passionate about helping others grow in faith and eager to invest spiritually in your colleagues. You’re ready to integrate your faith and professional experience to make a meaningful impact.

You embrace challenges with trust in God and value collaboration with supportive teammates. You believe serious work can be joyful and fun.

You’re a curious learner with a teachable spirit, grounding your strategies on a solid understanding of past efforts and current trends in nonprofit communications. You’re also self-aware, able to reflect on how the fruit of the Spirit is growing in your life and where you still seek growth.
