Serving in a location long-term is a worthy commitment so that others may know Jesus. Long-term service provides a chance to build a life in a new place, building friendships, engaging in a local church and community, and learning a new culture and language. You’ll grow in your love for Jesus and others, develop ministry skills, grow in crossing cultures, and step out in faith and experience God at work in the world.

Application Process
Our application helps you and us figure out if global staff is the right fit. We’re not looking for perfect people, so just be honest in your answers.
This process begins by emailing Agapé UK HR [hr@agape.org.uk] to receive your application. Upon completion of your application, you will need to send out reference forms. Once the application is completed and references submitted, Agapé UK will review your application and ask you in for an interview.
Once accepted, you’ll be trained in how to build a team of partners necessary to raise your finances for serving long-term.

Raising the Funds
The cost of serving long-term varies from person to person and place to place. This cost covers your salary, living expenses, taxes, ministry expenses, relocation costs, visas, etc. Your goal will be developed as you continue in the acceptance process. That might sound a bit daunting, but raising the funds is actually a faith-building and encouraging part of the experience!
In order to go on the internship, everyone must build a team of partners – friends, family, churches – who support you by praying for you and giving financially. As you develop this team, you’ll often find that God provides all the resources you need; it’s really about trusting Him and making your needs known to enough people so you can connect with those He’s calling to join you. Seeing people support you in this way can be a hugely encouraging part of the journey, and it’s a chance to involve others in what God is in that part of the world!
Agapé UK will provide the necessary training to begin building your team of partners. Agapé UK will provide a staff member who will coach you through this process. We require all funds to be raised before the fundraising deadline. If you raise more than you need, you can consider helping someone else. If the deadline is approaching and you’re struggling, we will do our best to provide whatever encouragement or support you need to help you reach your target. Please rest assured that we handle each person’s fundraising situation individually. Just a heads-up: donations can’t be Gift Aided anymore due to government rules.
