Digital Strategies

Equipping the body of Christ to share Jesus in a digital world

About Us

The Digital Strategies team works to expand our gospel reach through thoughtful, digital innovation. We equip people to start natural spiritual conversations online using video, social media, and dedicated Gospel apps. Our secure messaging platform, The Mentor Ministry, provides safe, personal spaces for seekers to explore faith online, while our YouVersion Bible reading plans, GodTools and Jesus Film apps, and Indigitous community offer pathways to discover Jesus together. We also support churches as we share how to use our digital tools like the NextSteps platform to turn digital points of contact into intentional discipleship journeys.

Ask A Christian

For those curious about the Christian faith or wrestling with life’s big questions, our website provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore. Through engaging articles and video content, we address common hurdles to faith and offer a clear introduction to the gospel. Most importantly, every visitor has the opportunity to connect personally with our Mentor Ministry, ensuring that a digital search can lead to a real, supportive conversation with a trained mentor.

Social Media

Follow @_askachristian on TikTok and Instagram. Digital spaces are the modern-day marketplace, and we believe the gospel should be at the heart of the conversation. Our presence on TikTok and Instagram is designed to “stop the scroll” with thought-provoking content. We don’t just post and walk away; our team works hard to engage people with warmth and curiosity in the comment sections and private messages. We aim to build trust and start natural spiritual conversations exactly where people are spending their time.

Bible Reading Plans

Grow with YouVersion Whether someone is just starting to explore the Bible or has been a believer for years, our original YouVersion Bible reading plans provide a pathway for growth. We create biblically-grounded content for both seekers and believers, helping people engage with Scripture in a way that is relevant to their daily lives. Every one of our plans connects readers back to our team of mentors, offering a bridge from a digital app to a real person who can support them on their journey.

The Mentor Ministry: A personal connection in a digital world

Beyond apps and articles, we believe that the most significant spiritual steps are often taken in the context of a relationship. The Mentor Ministry (TMM) provides a secure, private messaging space where anyone—whether a curious seeker or a believer facing a challenge—can connect with a real person.

Ordinary people, extraordinary care Our mentors aren’t professional counsellors; they are everyday followers of Jesus who are trained to listen with empathy and respect. They provide a safe, non-judgmental space for people to share their struggles, ask difficult questions about faith, and receive prayer. By joining others on their spiritual journey, our mentors help turn a moment of online curiosity into a meaningful conversation about the gospel.

Every month, this strategy sparks hundreds of spiritual conversations, leading to over 10,000 messages back and forth with our mentors worldwide.

Our mentors help people feel loved and heard. And most importantly, they point the way to Jesus. Join us as we bridge the gap between digital search and personal support, helping people across the UK discover Jesus together.

The Mentor Ministry: How it works

TMM is an opportunity to listen with empathy, pray, and gently open doors to the gospel with people searching for hope online. We prioritise:

  • Safety: Our secure messaging site protects both seeker and mentor.
  • Support: You’ll be matched with a mentor coach to help grow your confidence and skills.
  • Training: Interactive, self-paced modules prepare you for your journey.
  • Community: Connect with a UK-based network to share tips and prayer.

People seeking hope often search the internet for solutions to life’s struggles. They discover our content (on sites like Issues I Face) and are invited to connect with a mentor who will listen to their story. When they fill out a form, they are connected to you via TMM.io, our custom-built, secure platform.

  1. Apply: Submit your application and a spiritual reference.
  2. Safeguarding: Agree to our data policies and authorise an enhanced DBS check.
  3. Train: Complete four self-paced basic training modules.
  4. Connect: Set your preferences and start replying to messages with your coach’s support.

“Mentoring has given me more of a boldness to witness in my everyday life.” — Sarah

Empowering your ministry with NextSteps

At Agapé UK, we don’t just want to do digital missions ourselves—we want to help you do it, too. That’s why we offer training and support for churches, ministries, and individuals using the NextSteps Journey Builder.

NextSteps is a powerful, interactive platform designed to turn “digital moments” into faith journeys. Instead of just consuming content, users are guided through a “swipe and tap” experience where they can respond, ask questions, and request prayer. It’s about creating a bridge between a screen and a real relationship, rolling out a digital welcome mat for the curious to engage with you.

What we offer:

  • Custom Journeys: We help you build interactive pathways for evangelism, discipleship, or prayer.
  • Ministry Training: We equip your team to use the platform effectively and securely.
  • Individual Equipping: We help believers gain confidence in sharing their faith online.

Whether you are a local church leader or a national ministry, we can help you use NextSteps to make the gospel accessible, relatable, and personal.

Proven pathways We have already seen the impact of this platform through our own partnerships. Recent examples include a social media campaign connecting seekers with our digital mentors, and an Easter journey for parents of primary school children connecting families with resources and their local churches.

"Sharing the Easter journey in my parents’ group was easy. I was nervous, but got good feedback and faith conversations are still popping up a year on!" - Katie

A global network with local heart

While our team’s focus is the UK, Agapé UK is part of a vast global ecosystem dedicated to digital mission. We don’t work in isolation; we are powered by the innovation of Cru’s Global Digital Strategies, a network reaching almost every nation on earth. This partnership gives us access to world-class resources and a shared vision for seeing the gospel move at the speed of the internet.

Through our connection with the Jesus Film Project, we offer high-quality, contextualised digital media. Their growing library of films and short clips is translated into thousands of languages, ensuring that the story of Jesus is accessible and culturally relevant to everyone, no matter their background. We also work closely with the team behind GodTools, an app designed specifically to help people move from “small talk” to “spiritual talk” with confidence and ease.

Finally, we are active members of the Indigitous network—a global community of “digital missionaries” who believe that everyone, everywhere should have the chance to discover Jesus. By collaborating with technologists, creatives, and strategists worldwide, we ensure that the tools we offer the body of Christ in the UK are at the cutting edge of what is possible. Together, we are using the best of global technology to support local discipleship.
