Statement of Faith
We have a great love for the Bible and view it as authoritative for our life and ministry.
Agapé UK Statement of Faith
The sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by God,
and is the final authority in all matters on which it teaches.
We explicitly affirm our belief in:
- One true God, eternally existing in three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- The perfect Deity of Jesus Christ, who by His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and virgin birth
became fully man. - The death of Jesus Christ as sinless substitute, by which he voluntarily atoned for the sins of men and
accomplished salvation for all who trust in Him alone. - The physical resurrection and bodily ascension of Jesus Christ to heaven where He, the only mediator
between God and man, continually intercedes for us. - Man’s creation in the image of God; and his historical fall into sin resulting in divine condemnation for
all mankind, the corruption of his nature, and his need of regeneration by the Holy Spirit. - The salvation of man by God’s grace alone, apart from human works, goodness or religious ceremony,
that grace being freely given to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation. - The privilege of all who are born again of the Spirit of God to be assured of their salvation, through the
witness of the Holy Spirit confirming in the believer the testimony of God’s written Word. - The Holy Spirit, who reveals and glorifies Jesus Christ, applies His saving work to men, indwells all
believers, and empowers them through faith and perseverance to bear fruit to the glory of God. - The Church, the Body of Christ, of which He is the Head, and which is composed of all, both living and
dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith; and the assembling together of His people for
worship, participation in ordinances, edification through the Scriptures and mutual encouragement. - The personal, visible and bodily return of Jesus Christ in glory to judge the living and the dead, bringing
everlasting glory and blessing to the believer, and everlasting condemnation to the unbeliever. - The command of our Lord Jesus Christ to all believers to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and
to make disciples in every nation. The fulfilment of that Great Commission requires that all worldly and
personal ambitions be subordinated
